Commander today announced a AU$23 million, three-year deal with the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, its second contract win this week.
Commander will be responsible for implementing the provision of Microsoft software licences across the department.
The announcement comes off the back of the telco's announcement yesterday that it had renewed its contract with the Federal government's Department of Finance and Administration, estimated to be worth AU$5 million.
Some reports last week indicated that Commander was close to being out up for sale after a financially unsettled year. The company was suspended from official quotation on the Australian Stock Exchange on 1 October.
Adrian Coote, MD of Commander, was quick to downplay talk of a sale last week saying: "We'll put those rumours to bed for now."
Coote did however confirm that the company had engaged ABN AMRO to assess the possibilities of a sale.
