BigPond blues

roundup It's been an exceptionally busy period at BigPond, the nation's largest Internet service provider.

Early this month, it was on the firing line after receiving low rankings on a broadband community Web site survey. Then came the Trojan-infected machines clogging BigPond's network.

After initial investigations, ZDNet Australia  reported that the root of BigPond's problems wasn't a massive army of hackers; rather, it was six computers riddled with malware.

Does the Bigpuddle problem have anything at all to do with current whoes of the aapt site or is that unrelated, I just waited over 1.5 hours on hold for aapt customer support before I gave up in frustration and the way it appears to me is that they have the front page of their site hacked as well their email server compromised by dos?!!

It a joke since weeks I can hardly access any web sites in the evening at all!!!

Hel$tra got a service status page on Bigpond and I haven't seen any pointers to that problem!!!

Copied of the Bigpond members site:

"The Service Updates page is where we'll keep you up to date on any current known problems....."

Then bloody post your damn network problems and try to fix them after weeks of problems with a so called broadband ADSL connection.

I would like to publicly thank..... no get down on my knees and praise optus DNS servers.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for saving my internet that is still under contract.
    Telstra pay attention.

THAT IS HOW YOU RUN A DNS SERVER.

PS I still notice the slo- down on other pcs that are using telstra's DNS servers. Though judging by the feeback other locations have it worse than here in south east sydney.
