    Politics aside...
There should ne no line rental at all.
Ask yourself... Are mobile phone users charged a monthly mobile tower rental?

The best reason yet for voting Johnny Howard out of office! Not that we need any more reasons, there are plenty allready.
I've lost count of the number of times my line rental has gone up since Howard gutted Telstra, and the quality of the service gone down.
I live in a c ountry area and the phone service (fixed line and mobile) is still in a deplorable state, yet we get howard and his puppet ministers of IT and Communications saying that things are better than ever before. I for one would love to see them try to run their election campaigns from 'the bush' where you are lucky to even get a signal on your mobile, let alone not have it cut out in the middle of a call.
