SBI, an e-business services company focused on manufacturing, distribution and back-end retail markets, has formed a new wireless division to develop and implement wireless strategies for customers. The new division "will allow us to help these companies incorporate wireless into their e-business initiatives to reduce costs, improve service and increase overall operating efficiencies," says Ned Stringham, president and CEO.
It will use Aether System's ScoutWare software products to provide customers with wireless access to data from sales force, product configuration and supply chain applications, as well as wireless LAN capabilities on the factory floor; and wireless inventory control systems in warehouses. Customers also will be able to incorporate wireless logistics systems to move and deliver goods more efficiently.
