Future is 'network publishing', company argues.

Adobe has announced that it is to begin developing its software for wireless devices.

The publishing software developer has embarked on a new "network publishing" strategy and said that it will be working with Real Networks, Nokia and HP among others to deliver personalised content to networked printers and mobile devices.

Adobe said network publishing will let an individual create content on one device and forward it on to any number of different devices. The firm said that regardless of what device the information is sent to, it will be presented as originally formatted.

To encourage companies to use the technology, Adobe is launching Adobe Studio, an online creative design resource. Users will be able to organise and share files over the Internet and send them to mobile devices. Rather like Adobe's InCopy product for enterprises, the Adobe Studio site will include content, tools and services. It will be launched in January.
