People launches Telstra's ADSL2+

in brief Business-focused internet service provider People Telecom today said it had launched ADSL2+ broadband services based on Telstra's network, making it the first firm in Australia to do so.

Telstra had previously declined to open up access to its network on a wholesale basis, however the telco appears to have changed its attitude in recent months.

Telstra has Australia's largest ADSL2+ broadband network, reaching some 900 telephone exchanges around the nation. People Telecom is already an extensive reseller of Telstra services and inked a $200 million deal earlier this year with the bigger telco.

People Telecom is offering ADSL2+ plans ranging from $84.95 per month with 10GB of on-peak and 10GB of off-peak data, to a $119.95 per month plan including 60GB of data.
