Hutchison will next week spread the reach of its 3G mobile network into Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Hutchison, which boasts that '3' is the only true 3G mobile network in Australia, has until now only serviced Sydney and Melbourne. The company has been dogged by analysts' claims that the newest carrier would not be able to obtain enough customers to be profitable.

However, Austin Bryan, director of 3G products and services for Hutchison Telecom yesterday told ZDNet Australia   the company was "extremely pleased" with the take up of its service so far.

Perth and Adelaide will come online on Tuesday 1st of July, while Brisbane will launch the following day.
