Browser battles: the state of the browser market

IE has the majority of the world's browser share, but there's still some competition. ZDNet Australia takes a look at the issues in the browser war, along with reviews of the major competitors.

Does Mozilla do it better?
A list making the rounds on the Internet's newsgroups and discussion boards says you can do more things with the Mozilla browser than you can with Microsoft's Internet Explorer--101 things, to be precise.

MS still blows away browser market
The latest Mozilla and Netscape Web browsers are cropping up on more computers worldwide, but they still only represent a few trees in a forest of Microsoft's Internet Explorer browsers.

Mozilla 1.0: The final word
It's probably safe to say that more people are waiting for the long-delayed fifth Harry Potter book than for the final release of Mozilla 1.0. But while Hogwarts fans will have to wait a while longer, patient Mozilla fans have finally gotten their due.

7th time lucky?
There's something magical about the number seven--take, for example, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Will Netscape 7.0 benefit from that number's lucky reputation?

Sick of IE? Try a new Web browser
Internet Explorer is easy to use -- it's in every Windows installation. But there are reasons why you may want to look at browser alternatives.

Opera 6.0: In harmony with the Web
If you love Opera, this download is a must. If you're looking for alternatives to Netscape or IE, Opera 6.0 is a worthy alternative.
