Victoria gets new IT minister

in brief Victoria has a new minister for information and communication technology, with former police minister Tim Holding picking up the role as part of a combined portfolio including finance and tourism.

The move comes in a cabinet reshuffle announced yesterday by Premier Steve Bracks after Labor retained its position in the state election.

Former ICT Minister Marsha Thomson will move to the backbench.

Full report to follow.

    Is this a joke? Jack -- 30/11/06

You have got to be kidding... How can someone realisticly cover all those portfolio's and do justice to any individual one? Appointing someone without the fuzzyest idea about IT is a hugh risk.

Get someone in who actually can spend the time and has a clue about IT.
