Telstra's advertising arm Sensis has extended its outsourcing agreement with customer relationship management, billing and directory system provider Amdocs for another five years, the companies have announced.

Amdocs said in a statement it would continue to provide Sensis, formerly Pacific Access, with an outsourcing solution for data centre and facility management, software maintenance and support services for existing and current solutions and products.

The agreement represents the extension of an outsourcing arrangement first entered into in 1998.

Sensis' chief information officer, Greg Embleton, cited Amdocs' existing record in developing and managing the company's systems - as well as its "in-depth understanding of our current business strategies" - as behind the decision.

Sensis' properties include the Yellow Pages and White Pages, location and natigation brand Whereis and the recently-acquired CitySearch brand.
