in brief The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) today confirmed its chief information officer Paul Stokoe had recently left, with the executive believed to have moved into a larger Canberra government agency.
A spokesperson for the agency said Stokoe left about six weeks ago, with the ASC this week having advertised his position. They could not immediately say what new role he had taken up.
The ASC is the Federal Government's sports administration and advisory agency and also runs the Australian Institute of Sport, the national training and development centre for elite athletes and teams. Over the past few years Stokoe has had a relatively high profile, despite the small size of the agency.
