in brief RHG (formerly RAMS) has extended its loan processing outsourcing deal with Unisys for a further two years.

The extension gives Unisys' Credit Services business process outsourcing (BPO) subsidiary until 2011 with the home loan provider, building on its existing deal inked in 2002 for it to provide mortgage processing. The contract was set to expire in September 2009.

The deal leaves Unisys handling RHG's mortgage settlement and post-settlement services needs, such as arrears and recovery handling, while the outsourcer continues to provide its call centre operations.

RHG director Geoff Kinghorn described Unisys in a statement as an "integral cog" in its "business wheel", while Unisys general manager of business process outsourcing Rafe Kruger highlighted it had stabilised the company's legacy systems over the years.
