TurboLinux, in return, will optimise its version of Linux, called the TurboLinux Server, to run Oracle 8i, so that Oracle's latest version of its database runs better on TurboLinux than on other versions of Linux.
Oracle's investment in TurboLinux follows the company's announcement in January that it received a significant investment from Dell Computer and more than 20 global enterprise software companies, totaling US$57 million.
