According to Netspace it has reduced the monthly costs of many broadband plans and increased the monthly download allowance "across the board". It has also introduced three new plans designed specifically for gamers.
Managing director of Netspace, Stuart Marburg, says the future of broadband is heavily embedded in the home consumer.
"With the growth in online gaming and the explosion of digital media technologies, we see the future of broadband lies in the living room," he said. "Essential to the growth of this market is affordable broadband connectivity with realistic usage allowances and a high performing connection."
Netspace are offering a range of symmetric gamers plans starting at AU$89.95 per month with 6GB download allowance and speeds of 512Kbps. The company is also offering a range of "lite user and family" plans with a start up offer of AU$29.95 per month for a 0.3GB allowance with a speed capability of 256Kbps and moving to a 4GB upgrade with the same speed for AU$39.95 per month.
"Essential to the growth of this market is affordable broadband connectivity with realistic usage allowances and a high performing connection," said Marburg. "For anybody who may have been recently thinking about installing broadband in their home, now is the time."
Netspace have also released a "heavy user" set of broadband plans, starting at AU$79.95 for an 8GB download limit and a speed of 1500Kbps.
The company says all but one of the new broadband plans are offered at a flat price with no excess download fee. The Netscape start up offer (Starter 256) charges an additional 15cents per each additional megabyte, with the excess fee capped at AU$49.95 plus the additional AU$29.95 plan fee.
Most plans also include "free traffic" for some sites, including gaming sites.
