Kaz acquires Iocore

Kaz Group has acquired Canberra-based IT services provider, Iocore Asia Pacific, boosting the company's mainframe development and business intelligence services.

Kaz technology services managing director Andrew Richardson, said that they expect the acquisition to provide additional expertise which will broaden the range of future projects.

"We recognised that acquiring Iocore's expertise broadens the range of projects we can undertake. Having worked with Iocore on previous projects, we were aware of the company and viewed their expertise and reputation as an excellent complement to Kaz' own capabilities and strong local standing," Richardson said.

Both companies have worked and supplied application development services to the Australian federal government.

Iocore will be integrated into KAZ's Canberra operations, increasing the IT services provider's ACT staff count by 100 to over 370 people.
