Secure your shopping through AOL Quick Checkout even if you're not a member of AOL.

Surfing inside AOL's contained environment can feel deceptively safe from hacker attacks.

AOL has rolled out its own online wallet: Quick Checkout. Originally named "LivePayment" by Netscape (later acquired by AOL), Quick Checkout follows the industry trend moving online wallets from the client's computer to a restricted, secure server. It's also protected by industry standard SSL technology, which encrypts your credit card information before you send it from your computer to AOL's server.

Like Microsoft's Passport, AOL's Quick Checkout is compliant with Electronic Commerce Modeling Language (ECML). Even if you're not a member of AOL/Compuserve, you can still take advantage of Quick Checkout, which is accessible in browsers outside the AOL environment.
