Hostworks takes Asia Pacific plunge

South Australia's outsourced Internet hosting group Hostworks has signed a million dollar agreement with online travel booking service ZUJI, marking its first foray into the Asia Pacific market.

Under the terms of the AU$1 million deal Asia Pacific-based ZUJI, a joint venture between travel portal Travelocity.com and 10 of the region's big-name carriers, including Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific, will outsource its back office branch network to Hostworks, which will provide the group's data centre requirements and centralise customer service operating systems, applications and databases accessed by ZUJI staff and agents throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Hostworks recently snapped up rival Interpath Australia, and in so doing added a number of large blue-chip customers to its client base, including Deutsche Asset Management, Woolworths, Eurest, AAMI, Cisco Systems and Harvey World Travel.

-We are delighted to add ZUJI to our fast-growing customer base," Hostworks' managing director, Marty Gauvin, said in a statement. -We anticipate making further new customer announcements shortly," he added.
