Greenpeace needs Sydney IT chief

in brief Environmental lobbyist Greenpeace has started looking for an IT manager concerned about climate change to support the technology operation of its Sydney office.

In advertisements placed this week, the group outlined wide-ranging requirements for the role, from the strategic to the technical. For example, the IT manager selected will need to have experience with Novell's Groupwise and SUSE Linux platforms as well as budgeting for long-term IT strategy.

The salary listed for the role, which will report to Greenpeace's head of organisation support, is $73,325 plus superannuation.

Greenpeace did not immediately return calls requesting information about whether an IT manager had recently left the role.
