Government releases Web development guide

The federal government has released a new online guide designed to help public servants meet their legal and policy obligations when designing Web sites.

Senator Eric Abetz, the Special Minister of State, announced the release of the Web guide in a statement this morning, saying it was would improve the "quality and consistency" of Australian government Web sites.

Developed by the Australian Government Information Management Office, the guide would provide a central source of obligations, policies and tools for the construction and development of Web sites.
