Having successfully delivered AFL video games for PC, PS2 and Xbox, Melbourne-based IR Gurus Interactive is turning its attention to northern hemisphere sport and will develop a Gaelic football game for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

The deal -- announced today with the support of players from this Friday's second International Rules Test between Ireland and Australia -- is the first made directly between an Australian developer and Sony.

-The new game will be the first officially licensed Gaelic Football computer game in the world and will generate 12 new jobs and new investment of at least AU$2.3 million," said Information and Communication Technology Minister, Marsha Thomson.

Previous games from IR Gurus include AFL Live 2004, The Saddle Club - Willowbrook Stables, and Equestriad 2001.
