Ethan targets Commander customers

in brief Local IT products and services outfit Ethan Group has started a campaign to target corporate customers of failed rival Commander, which was placed in the hands of administrators last week.

The company today started running advertisements guaranteeing Commander customers their current pricing on computer hardware such as desktop PCs and servers. "We will also do our level best to equal or better Commander's professional service rates," the group said.

The news comes as two of Australia's fastest-growing and most acquisitive IT services companies, ASG and UXC, yesterday showed little interest in participating in the Commander fire sale. Other potential acquirers, such as Japanese firm Fujitsu, have yet to comment on the issue.
