"Our previous CIO, Dean Pangrazio, has been promoted to the role of Manager Business Improvement and Planning, Services Department," an ETSA spokesperson told ZDNet Australia via e-mail.
Pangrazio had previously overseen an IT department consisting of around 74 staff.
"Dean is now responsible for the delivery of customer service improvements across the organisation and improved business delivery within the Services department," the spokesperson continued.
Due to Pangrazio's move, the CIO chair is now vacant, with ETSA looking for an IT manager who is a "natural relationship builder" with a successful track record in big business.
ETSA claims to be the fifth largest electricity distributor in Australia, with more than 1300 staff and 758,000 customers in its home state of South Australia.
