Dimension Data has signed what it calls its "first significant desktop outsourcing contract in Australia" with a 130 seat deal with the Starlight Children's Foundation.
Under the terms of the five year contract, Dimension Data will support desktops in five capital cities as well as Starlight Express vans around the country.
Dimension will provide service desk support, desktop services, server management, network management, managed applications, onsite engineering and service management.
"Previously, we only had three people in IT to manage our technology environment," said Starlight's head of business operations Warren Phillips.
"But this relationship really gives us access to a big bank of forward-thinking people who will help us to deliver enhanced benefits to seriously ill kids."
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Dimension has been involved with the kids charity for the last 10 years including fundraising pro-bono IT services.
