CBA Financial Services has increased licensee numbers by a third for its version of LLink financial planning software, which was part of the Accompli Technologies business purchased by IWL in October 2001. The bank also licensed extra functionality from IWL's Visi suite of software products for the first time.
"It's obviously one of our major accounts, in the amount of licensees they have," Otto Buttula, CEO of IWL Limited told ZDNet Australia . "It certainly was Accompli's largest one single client."
IWL has wound down the Accompli Technologies division after transferring the functionality to its own software suite, Visi. The renewal of the contract with CBA means the division will continue to exist, at least until the bank changes its software platform.
"As a business [Accompli Technology] is in wind down," said Buttula, explaining most customers had been transfered to Visi. "The expenses in that business are negligible; there's no further development of the software suite."
Although the deal with CBA ensures the Accompli Technologies division will be around for a while longer, Buttula points out that IWL has several accounts of the size of that with the Commonwealth Bank.
"The great thing about IWL is no one client really represents more than seven percent of total revenues," he said.
