BlueScope signs AU$480 million CSC deal

BlueScope Steel has extended its outsourcing contract with CSC in a deal that could see the vendor reap AU$480 million over eight years.

The steel multinational has outsourced to CSC since May 2000, and today announced it had signed a four year base contract with two two-year extension options. The contract and options are worth AU$480 million in total.

The contract will see CSC provide consulting, applications development and support, disaster recovery, systems integration and end user services.

-We have been very pleased with the support, cost saving initiatives and service delivery improvements provided by CSC," BlueScope Steel CIO Andrew Baker said in a statement.

"This new contract recognises the benefit of working with CSC and we look forward to continuing our relationship."

CSC is also BlueScope's main outsourcing partner across Asia, New Zealand and North America.
