Australian hospitals to get interface facelift

Australian hospitals will soon have the opportunity to integrate their patient and ordering databases, following a strategic agreement between healthcare information systems supplier iSOFT and Epicor Software.

The marriage will see the development of a joint data interface between iSOFT's PiMS (Patient Information Management System) and Epicor's comprehensive enterprise suite, including integrated financial and supply chain management solutions.

-The information provided by our organisations will be integrated electronically to provide healthcare workers with in-depth information," iSOFT Australia CEO Graeme Wilson said in a statement.

PiMS is currently being used in hospitals across NSW, South Australia and Queensland.
