Aust services company replaces IBM at ING

Kaz Group subsidiary Aspect Computing has won an outsourcing contract with financial services company ING Australia. The deal is expected to generate between AU$15-22 million in revenue for the services company over five years.

Under the contract, which was tendered for by eight organisations, Kaz will replace incumbent IBM-GSA. Aspect will deliver managed IT services to ING's 2,500 seat desktop/LAN environment, run the servers and provide helpdesk support to ING staff Australia-wide.

"Quality service delivery, responsiveness and competitive pricing model were significant criteria for this contract, which Aspect won," said John Wylie, the CEO of ING Australia.

Despite solid performance Kaz has been caught up in the loss of investor faith in the tech sector, with its share price hit hard last year when a series of high end investors pulled out of the company after profits were revised downwards following the acquisition of Aspect.
