Under the contract, part of the Strategic Partnering in Resourcing Information Technology (SPIRIT) initiative, Kaz is assuming responsibility for the entire infrastructure - from servers to its 1600 desktops and laptops at departmental office locations across WA.
KAZ will be managing the service desk, desktop, server and network facilities, as well as maintaining internal and external security. Kaz will also manage additional IT projects to ensure the department takes full advantage of new technologies that can help it fulfill its mission.
Mino Intini, executive director, business services for the DCD says, -We need our IT partner to understand how we work, and help us develop our IT architecture to reflect our overall mission as well as augmenting specific projects.
"Our tender evaluation showed Kaz as the best fit for our needs for moving forward. We are confident that in the months and years ahead, Kaz will help us use technology to continue and strengthen our contribution to advancing community interests in Western Australia," concludes Intini.

KAZ began in February a phased transition process of assuming responsibility for the DCD's infrastructure and relocating its servers to Kaz's Perth datacentre.
