Aust Ernst & Young partners vote on Andersen integration

Australian partners at professional services firm Ernst & Young vote on Thursday on whether the proposed integration of Andersen Australia into the firm should go ahead.

If the vote is positive, more details about plans for integration of the two firms' IT infrastructure should be known later next week, an Ernst & Young spokesperson said today.

The spokesperson said this is likely to include how the firms would be physically merging their IT systems, if the integration gets the go-ahead from the partners.

Ernst and Young sees the proposed integration, announced late March, as a way to increase its presence in the Australian professional services marketplace.
