A gang of five stormed into Acer's office and warehouse in Hong Kong on Saturday, plundering US$1 million worth of computer products.

Seven Acer employees were present when the armed robbery took place around noon. However, no injuries were sustained by the workers, the company said in a statement.

Sources told CNETAsia that a loaded gun and two knifes were found by Hong Kong police when they arrived at the scene of the crime.

A full investigation has been launched and the police is "actively pursuing the possible suspects," said Acer. The company has since stepped up security measures.

The computer maker assured customers that it's business-as-usual and deliveries will not be affected by the incident.

Taiwan-based Acer manufactures a variety of goods ranging from personal computers and monitors to semiconductors.
