in brief Newly formed government body the New Zealand Transport Agency has advertised for a chief information officer to lead a substantial internal change program, with a projected salary of more than $200k.
The agency was established on 1 August 2008, bringing together, according to its website, the functions of Land Transport New Zealand and Transit New Zealand, to provide "an integrated approach to transport planning, funding and delivery".
Advertisements placed this morning said the new agency had a large and exciting information technology environment with "many challenges". The new CIO will lead a change program to "embed a service ethos" in the team, the ad stated, and consolidate multiple systems and disparate IT environments onto one platform.
Computerworld New Zealand has reported that the agency's IT function is currently led by acting CIO Tony West.
