in brief Negotiations between IBM and workers at the company's Sydney facility at Baulkham Hills were ongoing, a representative from the Australian Services Union said today.

Quoting anonymous sources, News Ltd websites had reported the negotiations had broken down, with workers again reconsidering industrial action. However, ASU organiser Carl Harris told ZDNet.com.au this afternoon another meeting was planned for tomorrow.

"There's not going to be any industrial action while we're still progressing with the negotiations," he said. "We're still meeting with IBM. There's no industrial action planned at the moment."

Around 45 workers had previously threatened to go on strike for better pay and conditions, but stood down the action after IBM came to the negotiating table.
