Apple announced today that it would open a second official retail store at 9am this Saturday (9 August), in the Sydney suburb of Chatswood.

Located at 345 Victoria Ave, in the Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre, the new Apple store will have similar features to the CBD-based store, including a "Genius Bar". According to a statement from Apple, the store will also include "Apple's entire product line". The store will be open seven days a week.

The Apple store will also allow people to register online for a range of workshops, including one-on-one training and teaching sessions for children. While workshops teach a range of Apple software including Final Cut, OS X and iWork, Adobe's CS3 will also be offered.

The Apple store will also include training sessions for businesses on migrating to Apple products, with the Apple website claiming the workshops create "no obligation to buy".

The Chatswood store will be Apple's second Sydney-based retail store, the first of which opened in the CBD on 19 June.
