Stellar Asia Pacific appoints new CIO

in brief Call-centre operator, Stellar, has appointed Warwick Marx to the position of chief information officer for its Asia Pacific operations.

Marx, who has spent the past 18 months as Stellar Asia Pacific's regional general manager, has more than 20 years experience working as a professional engineer, project manager and business manager.

His initial projects will focus on integrating the company's new service offerings which include workflow, document management and business process outsourcing as well as software development and application integration.

In an interview with ZDNet Australia, Marx said he will be aiming to build synergies between Stellar's seven sites in Australia, Canada, the UK and the Philippines. He will also be overseeing the opening of the organisation's new 250 seat call centre in Biggera Waters, Queensland. The call centre is expected to be fully operational by October 2007.
