Dimension Data puts VPN in a box By Stephen Withers, 0 April 12, 2002 URL: http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/business/soa/Dimension-Data-puts-VPN-in-a-box/0,139023166,120264560,00.htm
Assembling all the components needed for a secure virtual private network (VPN) can be a chore, so Dimension Data is offering Australian organisations a package deal at a fixed price with guaranteed results. Announcing VPN in a Box, national business manager for security Tim Smith said "we've taken the pain out of putting a VPN together". The package comprises a Cisco 3000 series concentrator and VPN client software, Aladdin eToken USB authentication devices, digital certificate services from eSign Australia, and configuration, implementation and installation by Dimension Data. Client software is available for most flavours of Windows plus Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X. IPsec support is also available for Palm and Windows CE devices. A 100-client package costs AU$33,995 including installation and testing on one client, and a rollout plan for the remaining clients. Prices for larger or smaller numbers are available on request. A AU$5000 subscription fee plus AU$60 per certificate is payable to eSign in the second and subsequent years.
