Two Tasmanian design firms have settled out of court over software piracy allegations, according to the Business Software Association of Australia .

The Business Software Association of Australia (BSAA) claims it has settled with Hobart-based design firm Crank Media to a tune of AU$10,000, for allegedly infringing software licences.

ICS Multimedia, which it's claimed also used illegal software, settled with the BSAA for AU$15,000.

When contacted by ZDNet Australia, neither Crank Media nor ICS Multimedia would comment on the settlements.
