Search for Australia's top tech employer continues

The first phase of ZDNet Australia's search for the country's top tech employers is now complete.

We've closed the call for nominations and have been overwhelmed by your response. We've been inundated with votes from readers wanting their employer to receive the honour of being dubbed Australia's best employer of IT talent.

There are already a number of surprises to emerge from the nomination process. Judging by the votes we've received, the country's smaller organisations have just as good a chance to take home the award as their larger counterparts. Sure, we've received votes for the likes of Microsoft and Novell, but there have also been numerous nominations for tiny start-ups that many are unlikely to have heard of.

Now the hard part begins.

ZDNet Australia's editorial team will soon begin the task of determining which companies have received the most nominations. Once this is complete, we will contact the ten finalists in order to properly analyse the feelings, contentment and overall job satisfaction of those companies' tech workers.
