AAPIf the Federal Opposition continues to misrepresent the NBN in the next twelve months the way it has in the past twelve months then I predict that they have no chance of winning an election in 2013.
Report offensive content Reply (+20) (0)Unfortunately News Ltd readers would all be of the belief that the NBN is about as good for them as asbestos. And News Ltd has an all too large readership considering the trash magazine the paper now is. I would suggest that at least half of the Australian population would be against the NBN currently due to a lack of understanding combined with half an untruths pushed by Labor, News Limited, and pretty much all of the radio shock jocks.
Report offensive content Reply (+18) (0)Fear not... The readers unwillingness to engage in how this infrastructure can benifit them is perhaps what will drive it home. The one thing that people hate more than something that is forced upon them is having it taken away when they see others having fun with it.
Obviously there are more benifits than just having fun in regards to the NBN, but the average reader of News Ltd just wants to have fun... Right? ;-)
The same unwillingness to engage in the benifits will be the same unwillingness to listen to the constant FUD being broadcasts about the product, especially when the guy down the road has it and is having so much fun with it...
The Coalitions threats about pulling the plug are empty. They know it is necessary. I would be surprised if it is even a major policy point at the next election??
"the average reader of News Ltd just wants to have fun... Right?"
NO! They hate fun, they want fun to die because the world is a deadly serious place!
News Ltd has a vested interest in a change of government, which is why they continue to publish BS about the NBN? Unfortunately there are a lot of of morons in this country that don't have 2 brain cells to rub together (like the shock jocks, News Ltd readers, and any one that is a Liberal Party voter) who will believe all the FUD that is spread in trashy News Ltd publications.
"The Coalitions threats about pulling the plug are empty"
I don't think so. It would be political suicide for the Coalition to pull the plug on the NBN, unfortunately the Coalition are dumb enough to do just that because they are lead by an idiot that only has one word in his vocabulary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdqklZ7-eu8.
The Coalition would pull the plug which would waste more money than a Hollywood actor could waste on cocaine in a life time. That really would be "economic vandalism".
The only thing that the government and NBN Co are guilty of is poor communication. People are against the NBN because they don't understand it, they don't know why it's going to be so good, if they knew then they probably wouldn't be against it. They really need to do a better job of communicating the benefits of the NBN.
Chill. There's no need to take your frustration out in this forum. It turns out the majority of visitors here value the NBN and are happy to discuss the benifits and future possibilities. You do find a good number of Liberal Party online response minions but I have never seen a credible comment from them. Their arguments come straight from the pages of News Ltd papers which as you are aware, do not communicate very well.
Perhaps if you think the government and NBN Co are not communicating effectively, you should spend more time arguing the specific benifits as opposed to pointing out the obvious about News Ltd and Liberal Party followers?
On the Internet nobody can hear your sarcasm...
Trying to talk sense to a Liberal is like banging your head against a brick wall, the best part is when you stop.
" Don't backchat me son, I know technology..........."
