Marlow has held positions all over the company, including roles combating piracy, distribution of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) software, small and medium business solutions and most recently she was the director of the company's Enterprise and Partner business unit.

"I'm looking forward to leading an already-strong team to achieve great results for our customers and partners," Marlow said today in a statement.

Marlow takes up the position vacated by Tracey Fellows, who left at the start of December to head up the company's Asia-Pacific operations.

Fellows said that she felt confident and proud handing over the position to Marlow.

"Pip has contributed so much in so many parts of our business and the appointment couldn't be more deserved. Pip's local experience gives her many strong customer and partner relationships that will continue to grow in this new role," she added.

Marlow begins her new role effective immediately.
