Publisher opens doors for CIO

in brief Publisher Pearson Australia has advertised for an executive to fill a newly created CIO role.

The company, which has 1000 employees in Australia and New Zealand, is part of PAG, which includes Penguin, Pearson and United Book Distributors.

The role included responsibility for creating information systems and services strategy, inspiring the IT team, improving processes and reducing risk through governance.

The applicant was to have corporate experience at a high level, business or IT qualifications as well as an understanding of technology management.
