in brief The Australian office of IT services firm Logica has recently suffered a number of redundancies.

ZDNet.com.au understands that the cuts hit Logica recently, although the company's local managing director Colin Holgate has not responded to repeated requests for comment on the matter and further information is not yet available.

Logica, formerly LogicaCMG, holds contracts with a number of large Australian organisations, such as Victoria's Department of Education, the Australian Customs Service and the New South Wales Department of Commerce.

For an overview of recent redundancies in Australia's ICT industry, see ZDNet.com.au's list.
