There are so many different job search Internet sites out there, but the bottom line is if you don't keep looking left, right and centre, you won't end up getting the job you're after.
To get ahead in the career stakes these days, not only do you have to compete with fellow employees and further your own learning via training, you also have to keep on the lookout for positions in the ultra-competitive Australian employment race.
For your convenience, Web sites such as CareerOne.com.au, Monster.com.au, Seek.com.au and JobNet.com.au have made it easy for job seekers to search for existing employment positions.
But really you can't stop there, and that's where these Web sites leave you. Yes you can apply online, send out your resume and letter to these agencies, but what you really want is to hear back from them, and this is usually at a low rate at the moment.
Your best bet these days is to not only apply for several positions at the same time, but you should also take down as many numbers as you can along the way and give potential employers a direct call in order to receive a direct response.

yes, here here for Agencies which rob
job seekers blind.
Agencies are known as pimps in the industry.
Why do they get an hourly percentage of peoples
contracts? Surely a one off fee is fair? Although
we know their one off fees are a joke, $20,000 for a $60,000 worker.
This industry needs regulation as to what
these agencies can take.
eg,
1. It can't be more than
an upfront fee with no strings attached
2. They don't get a percentage of contractors rates. If you work 38 hours in a week, they take from %20 to %40 percent. If it's a weekend or after hours, they continue to take that big chunk and do nothing.
Lets face it, what do these agencies really do.
They bring workers to employers. My experience tells me they don't do anything else.
Empolyer's we dont need them, if you need to employ someone, advertise, it will cost you and the employee less. Agencies do nothing more than charge you to interview someone, they do minor if any filtering.
They are so bold as to ask where you've been looking so they can ring the companies and send candidates making chunks of money on the way.
Heres a new scam of the Agencies.
3 canidates go for a role.
Candidate 1 is the best person, but the profit margin for the agency is less, so they offer
candidate 2 who is no where near as good for the role.
AGENCIES are SCAMMERS.
