Sybase CEO champions open source

video John Chen sits down in a Face to Face interview with ZDNet editor-in-chief Dan Farber to talk about Sybase's high-end database, offered for free in a limited version to mainly small and midsize businesses. The CEO believes that as customer needs grow, they'll upgrade, paying Sybase for value-added tools that handle larger data sets, unstructured data, search, EII, federated databases and other functions.

    This is the first time I have had the opportunity to listen in on an interview with the Sybase CEO. What an interesting and informative interview! I was very impressed and was hoping for an even longer run time. Keep up the good work!
