Office 2010 Technical Preview: Screenshots By Renai LeMay, ZDNet.com.au May 18, 2009 URL: http://www.zdnet.com.au/insight/software/soa/Office-2010-Technical-Preview-Screenshots/0,139023769,339296484,00.htm
We give you a sneak peek at a "Technical Preview" build of Microsoft's upcoming Office 2010 suite before the company formally unveils it to the public. We installed Office 2010 in a virtualised VMware instance on top of Windows XP Service Pack 3. We could have installed the suite on top of the Release Candidate of Windows 7, but we wanted to see how Office 2010 would work without the latest operating system sitting underneath it. The answer, it turns out, is "just fine". Above you can see a fairly standard Microsoft pre-release software licence. (Credit: Renai LeMay/ZDNet.com.au) |Installing the suite (we selected all options) took about 10 minutes. (Credit: Renai LeMay/ZDNet.com.au) |Like Office 2007, Office 2010 updates will eventually be available through Office Online, Microsoft's support site. You'll see this open/save/print screen reappear throughout Office 2010. Its layout is logical and easy to get used to.
