The internet filter is a giant funnel

With apologies to John Clarke and Bryan Dawe, ZDNet.com.au has put together our own interpretation of the Federal Government's internet filtering initiative.

In order to watch video content you need to enable javascript and install Flash player version 8 or above.

At the core of the project, we hear, is a giant funnel. A funnel that will filter the internet.

Ratbags is ZDNet.com.au's light-hearted look at the Australian technology scene. Previously, we've Bing'd Google, investigated reports that the internet was going to run out of space, chased Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer all around Sydney, set fire to and microwaved a bunch of hard disks and asked people what they think of Windows 7 — or was it KDE4? We've even interviewed Fake Stephen Conroy in a hidden location.

    So that's what it's about Anonymous -- 08/09/09

At last we have an outline of the background to learn what a "filter" really means.

And there we were, just thinking that too much political control is never enough.

    More, please!
