During the Safari for Windows installation process, Apple gives you the option to install the Bonjour networking service and a software update utility that helps with the patching/updating process.
For security reasons, uncheck the Bonjour service installation. There have been serious code execution holes found in this service.
Install the Apple Software Update tool to ensure you receive fixes and security patches automatically.
Where's the "running" Safari safely bit?
I'm not seeing anything, except not giving Appel your e-mail address and not downloading QuickTime (which a lot of people will already have anyway - if you have iTunes, you get QuickTime).

I did exactly as was recommended,knowing full well there is problems with Quicktime.It is,to me,a superb browser,small,concise,very fast,no silly toolbars to play with,fully functional with much more room on screen for the user.Just have to go into preferences and get rid of Apple as the start page,insert your own.With this great browser,I can finally sideline the IE7 which is too bulky,far too slow and cumbersome.Highly recommend it.
