Here Australian scientists from the University of Queensland work on a light based quantum circuit. Quantum based transistors are an attempt to continue Moore's Law by moving transistor components onto the atomic scale.
Currently, Moore's Law is reaching its fundamental limit, with today's most advanced transistors being only hundreds of atoms across.
