Small-to-medium business telecommunications supplier Hostech has continued its spate of rapid company buyouts in the past year, announcing the acquisition of Albury-based IT company Netrics today.

"Local operators like Netrics provide a depth of connection with their customers that bigger companies can't hope to achieve," Hostech executive chair and Kaz founder Peter Kazacos said in a statement announcing the takeover today.

"Our focus is to build on that strength with carrier-grade technology offerings that will provide a richer set of products to the people of Albury, and throughout regional Australia."

The buy is one of a number of acquisitions made by the company in the past year. At the end of 2009, the company acquired telecommunications companies 5Star Telecom and OfficeLink Plus. In February, Hostech picked up IT services company Anittel, WA-based Microsoft specialist Accord Technologies, Western NSW-based infrastructure and support firm AXXIS, and fellow Albury-based network integration provider Aspirence.

Another IT services company D2K was also bought out by the company just last week.

Hostech secured industry veteran Ikka Tales as its CEO back in March.

Software testing company Revolution IT was also in the takeover game today, announcing it would extend its reach into South Australia with the acquisition of fellow testing company Independent Test Services.
