FreeNet for Australia

Free Net Corporation Pty Limited has announced a relationship with the Cisco Powered Network program, delivering premium Internet services to Free Net members.

Free Net Corporation offers Australia's first unlimited Internet access. In addition, the company offers online advertisers a pinpoint demographic targeting tool. Free Net Corporation is an Australian-owned company, based in Wollongong, New South Wales.

The Cisco Powered Network (CPN) program was established by Cisco to assist and endorse Service Providers that offer the highest levels of quality and reliability, built on Cisco equipment. Free Net Corporation joins a select group of eight program members from Australia and New Zealand who have qualified for Cisco's highest network rating. In addition, Free Net is one of only two Internet-only Service Providers (ISPs) to have qualified for the rating in Australia.

Announcing this achievement, Mr Abbas Aly, CEO, Free Net, said, "We are honoured to have qualified to join the Cisco Powered Network program and proud to display the CPN mark as testament to the high quality of our service offering. As a Cisco-powered service provider we can assure both our members and customers that they will benefit from end-to-end networking; simplified and cost-efficient network management; higher network availability; enhanced reliability and scalability; as well as increasingly secure services; and faster deployment of new network services."

Open to service providers who offer network-based services to the public, the Cisco Powered Network status is approved by Cisco on a per-service basis. Companies that display the CPN mark have earned the right to do so by maintaining high levels of network quality and by building their services with Cisco's industry-leading products. This ensures a fast, reliable, and secure service for users.

"Qualifying for Cisco Powered Network status is no mean feat," said Mr Terry Walsh, Managing Director of Cisco Systems Australia & New Zealand. "While being among the select few to meet the criteria, Free Net is unprecedented in offering its services - fully supported by Cisco's state-of-the-art technology - at no cost to Australian users. We are pleased to welcome Free Net to the Cisco Powered Network program."

To become a Free Net member and enjoy 100% free and unlimited Internet access, Internet users are encouraged to visit http://www.Free.Net.au and complete the registration form, which invites non-intrusive demographic details.
