Publisher’s description

Image - JumpStart Index Maker 1.1
The JumpStart Index Maker creates first pass back-of-book indexes by using the Riptide algorithm developed by melwin.net. The algorithm uses the latest technology in natural language processing to identify key words, phrases, and names. The JumpStart Index Maker opens Microsoft Word documents using your installed version of Microsoft Office. It then breaks apart the document page by page and identifies key words, phrases, and names within the page. The end result is TAB delimited file containing the first pass back-of-book index in a format that is easily imported into popular indexing software such as SKY Index, CINDEX, and MACREX. While the JumpStart Index Maker is designed to be used as a pre-processor for professional index creation software, it can be used by anyone who needs to incorporate a back-of-book index.
